Hi Ozkan, I have received the hone, lapped it. I think it is great and thank you for finding it and sending it to me. I have quite a few finishing hones and this one is as good as any. You really don't need a coticule, this hone is that good. I prefer to set a bevel on a 1000 grit synthetic Japanese hone. It so easy
and coticules are really hard work.
OK some guys have the time and get a satisfaction out of it but often they
are blinkered to the ability of
other types of hone. If you have a Japanese 8k or higher hone, this hone will polish the edge to
perfection. Naniwa sell a 3000/8000
combination superstone that would be perfect used with this hone as the
finisher.The 3000 would set the bevel, the 8000 would sharpen and start the
polishing and the Turkish slate would finish it. I know you said you build a big slurry and set the bevel with it, but in
all honesty, I think the hone has too fine a grit for that task although I
don't doubt it will do it. Anyway, thanks again
